how to commission a portrait from photos - a quick summary

First, contact me by phone or email if you need a quote, or have any questions.

If you decide to go ahead and commission a portrait, we can have a chat about exactly what you'd like your portrait to be like in terms of pose, background and so on. You can look in my galleries and let me know if any of the portraits there are in a style you particularly prefer.

Then dig out your photos - you may already have a photograph that's suitable for me to work from, or if the portrait you'd like is of your own child, you could try taking some new ones.  When you are ready, send me them either by mail or email, and I can start working on your portrait.

When it's nearly done, I will send you a photo of the portrait to check, by mail or email. You can let me know what you think, and whether there's anything you'd like me to change. Once you are completely happy you can send through the payment and I'll send your painting or drawing straight out to you!
